Manneken Pis sculpture dressed with a floral creation
The famous Manneken Pis sculpture is dressed in a floral creation by Belgian artist Geoffroy Mottart on the occasion of the "FlowerTime" event.
Every other summer, in alternation with the Flower Carpet, the City Hall of Brussels and the Grand Place run the "FlowerTime" international plant and flower arrangement event. The entry hall, the corridors, the offices, meeting and reception rooms of the buildings are adorned with dozens of floral arrangements.
Manneken Pis is a landmark bronze sculpture in Brussels depicting a naked little boy urinating into a fountain's basin. It was designed by Hieronymus Duquesnoy the Elder and installed in 1618 or 1619.
The current statue is a replica that dates from 1965. The original is kept in the Museum of the City of Brussels.

Longest duration full body contact with ice
Josef Koeberl of Austria broke the world record for longest time spent submerged in ice in early August.
With a time of two hours, eight minutes and 47 seconds, Koeberl beat the previous record created by Chinese athlete Jin Songhao in Xiamen, China in 2014, whose record was one hour, 53 minutes and 10 seconds.
Koeberl took on the challenge in front of Vienna's main train station, fully submerged up to his shoulders in a clear box filled with ice cubes. Over the course of the two hours, his temperature was monitored, and afterward, his health was checked by medical officials in an on-site ambulance.

Portraits created with hair cuttings
North Macedonia hairdresser Svetlana Grozdanovska uses trimmings from her clients' haircuts to make portraits of local and internationally renowned celebrities.
Grozdanovska said she always created images from strewn hair on her salon floor, or sometimes of flowers, using red hair cuttings as color.
After seeing portraits made from hair by other stylists online she decided she would try to make her own, starting with Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic.
